Hi, BigDumbDoc! FYI: I made my first sale today. I sold a space to an 81-year-old veteran (U.S. military) who wants to be interred near his mother, who lived from 1900 - 1985. I spent four hours with him in his home, at his kitchen table, openly discussing the inevitability of death. And the costs -- in terms of both money (he lives another 10 years, costs go up, okay?) -- and in terms of sparing the survivors the emotional distress at time of need -- and later doubting their decisions -- 'what would Dad have wanted?' Tomorrow @ noon, I'm going back to visit with this man to plan his funeral with him. (No spouse -- divorced.) I almost quit this morning ... but had met two people in one of our cemeteries on Mother's Day when I drove a golf cart around the property ... passing out white carnations to all of the visiting mothers that day .. iced-down water as well ... cleaning up the bronze markers with whisk broom, screwdrivers to tighten if necessary the Phillips screws that secure the marker to the concrete or granite base on which it 'sits' ... and WD-40! LOL! WD-40 sprayed onto a bronze marker makes the damned thing look BRAND NEW!!! The families really appreciate such simple, kind service from people like me. You think I'm an asshole? LOL. I have not encountered in real life anybody that's as nutso as you [EDIT: oops ...I thought I was responsing to the real nutcase, 'wstera' ... LOL -- sorry, BigDumbDoc-- you're just stupid and status-motivated, that's right <g>] ... and several others right here on SI 'popular' boards. One of these days, maybe you and the 'addicts' here will sort of 'get real.' And start really considering that you may indeed NOT become 'rich' ... and adjust to that concept ... and do something.
