fr1...the only problem with the construction companies is even if dollars are thrown at them, will they be profitable dollars? typical grass roots construction of a power plant or refinery is under tight government regulation...regulation causes delays, delays cause cost over runs, cost over runs begets disputes, disputes beget slow pay, slow pay equates to poor cash flow and borrowing by the construction company, which erodes the profit...

the problem with development of new sources is that most fail to become commercially viable...if you look at the money thrown by the doe to princeton plasma physics lab and the thomas jefferson accelerator facility over the years, the only positive results have been to the life style of the scientists who still haven't made any progress with clean" nuclear energy...

p.s...don't forget "flywheel technology"....that's bound to make a come back...
