Intel was reluctant to show support for DDR memory, due to numerous technical issues surrounding compatibility.

I think Intel is showing DDR in servers this year, initially with third party chip sets like the Micron "Copperhead."
I suspect that's also why they've created an addendum to the JEDEC DDR200 spec.
Probably no compatibility issues with chips built to the Intel spec. Will we see them in desk tops this year?
