Your not convincing enough with your sell story.Over the years I have seen negative investors come and go with QCOM.The ones that stayed loyal have been enriched in lots of ways....like early retirement.I am buying more and have been buying since the April lows.

Jacob,

Many believe Q's pe is to high for this kind of market, but I have yet to find an investment that I believe will do better than the Q in the long run. If you got out because you need the money or the volatility was getting to you that's understandable. If you have an investment idea that you think will perform better than the Q, I'm all ears.

Jacob: I subscribe to a couple of TA oriented investment service advice, and they indicated QCOM yesterday seemed to be on some kind of continuing upward movement when it passed 63.00. And one TA indicated its target price would be between 70 to 76. nimingdn

I bought QCOM last year (av. cost 67), and have sold in the last month (av. price 64).

Buy high, sell low, that's the ticket!

good reasons, Jacob. naturally the qcom fans will give the predictable reasons why you are wrong, but i agree w/you that QCOM seems vulnerable at this level. i just wonder why you didn't sell out higher (like set a stop), considering that you seem to do a lot of TA work and the stock ran all the way over 100.

my mom is a long-term holder and would not listen to me to sell when it was higher, but at least i got her to sell the 03 180 calls for 17.25 when the stock was around 86 (that was 86 on the way to 110 or whatever the fall high was) last fall. looks like those calls are worth around 3 bucks now. i had to laugh that the market would pay 17 bucks for the 180s when the stock was more than 50% below the strike! hope springs eternal among high-tech lovers...

speaking of hope, hopefully qcom will hold up a bit longer till the 04s come out. however, i imagine the high strike for 04 will be a lot lower than 180.

I recommend Jacob to start a buy high sell low board.

And MM will surely be the top poster over there. Wishing everybody doing the same thing.
