So if we make a play on this, where is it?

There is BLDP who does most of the fuel cell car batteries (up 19% today). But I wonder about them. It seems to me that GM and the others will simply copy the fuel cell idea themselves in house. This isn't CDMA technology that is completely locked up in patents. They were driving hydrogen busses in WWII. In fact I thought I remembered one Japanese auto dealer say that they were using BLDP cells until their own come on line. The momentum, however, might give it a good ride.

Then there is the home fuel cells. PLUG, HPOW and FCEL all of which claim they will put models on the market this fall. Everybody got a good ride today. I wonder if the momentum will carry the stocks to a double by the end of the year.

No profits in any of these but they certainly will get a lot of press because the democrats have decided to make "new energy technology" one of their favorite battle themes.

Do you have any prediction on how it will go?
