Figures just released indicate CA uses 42% less energy per capita than the national average.Gross demand may be high, but we are also THE most effective at conservation.

Several new production facilities due online in the next few months. Plants taken offline were for scheduled maintenance, but the timing in some cases is suspect.

Mistakes obviously were made, but as time passes there also seems to be one report after another indicating manipulation of supply, the latest re El Paso Gas.

Democratic to the core, California thinks the world should bail them out. California thinks that they should be able to use power, but should be able to shift environmental impacts out of their state.

Very good point David. Gray Davis said as much today when he said that although GWB did not cause the energy crisis in California., it IS HIS responsibility to fix it. LOL....

Personally I think these ya-hoos in Ca. think that much like a two hour movie, all this will be ok, short term.....

dumb butts better get to building some generation plants and such.

Dan

David Californians do conserve on one hand but on the other hand their conservation was negated by the large influx of illegal immigrants into the state which they openly encouraged and support. Patricia's observation to this was something to do with the price of lettuce an absurd reply. The real truth is that the price of conservation is not something that they are really willing to pay for. They will not stand for seeing the poor without air-conditioning and all the other comforts that energy brings. They scream clean air on one hand and cheap prices on the other which shows why they call Los Angeles LaLa land.
