That is a great quote "Arabs loved their steeds so much they hardly rode them, the preferred camels instead!" Arabs are now buying Arab horses back from North America that descend from horses that Americans bought from Egypt several decades ago. Americans have bred the little desert horse into a North American horse, bigger and fatter so it is really not the same animal even though it traces to Egypt in all lines. I just picked up Seven Pillars of Wisdom.
