Recent remarks about Rambus made by Barrett,
and the fact that Intel is preparing the Brookdale
SDRAM chipset

Here's the problem that I have. It is my opinion that Intel's words are often not to be trusted. This isn't because I think they're an evil company. It's more that I've noticed that they, more than any other company I know of (even MSFT...) manage to throw their competitors off guard by virtue of misleading public statements.

It appears to me that INTC's actions have generally involved throwing a lot of support behind RDRAM, although I imagine that they're hedging their bets somewhat.

Let me ask you a question: I'm going to try to do now what I should have been doing in the past--listen to the other side. Can you (or anyone else) tell me what is the single best source of objective, rational discussion (this could be a thread or an article or a website or a book) about the drawbacks of RDRAM, from a technical perspective (business perspective is fine too, but I think I have an OK handle on that).
