bcrafty - You're right, I forgot about the gold chain. I actually still have it, consititutes 43% of my gold portfolio LOL.

Missed the '74 market - the very first stock I ever bought was Harlequin Enterprises on the TSE in 1975. I was absolutely amazed at how everybody and their dog was reading those stupid paperback romances that were being cranked out by back office staff on those new-fangled word processor things, so I told myself I had to have some of that action.

If you can remember Harlequin romances, maybe you remember that HQE stock - nothing but a 45 degree uptrend until it got taken out by the Toronto Star. In a flash, my ticket to early retirement was ripped from my fingers. I've been looking for another Harlequin ever since.

Maybe I should get into Krispy Kreme......
