Urban planning, growth management, endangered species laws, environmental impact statements which prevent energy development, all have acted as a feedback mechanism which is at the root cause of California's energy crisis. The bureaucratic urge to regulate everything has given us a network of legal pressure points where the Demolibs can delay or prevent change and innovation from ever happening. High priced lawyers working for ultra left wing environmental groups have tied up more energy production, and raised the price more then a hundred Texas oilmen ever dreamed of doing.
