I agree totally with your main point -- the credit bubble must keep expanding or it will implode. Greenie has a tiger by the tail and he knows it. He will keep at it until forced to stop by the bond and/or currency market. The amazing strength in the dollar -- apparently refecting the fear of many in Europe of exposing themselves to the tax authorities when national currencies are exchanged for the Euro -- has given Greenie a free hand for the time being.

BTW amid all this talk about a shortage of savings, real rates of return on money market funds now are negative and getting more so. A return to reasonably frugal savings habits would break the back of this bubble economy.
