Transmission rears it's ugly head again, eh?

Looking for details on Dumbya "National Grid." If I recall my grid basics the eastern and western grids are connected at at least one point (ERCOT connected to the other two as well?) I wonder if he's considered that a "National Grid" might create more problems than it solves. The idea seems to be that it will make moving power to where it's needed much easier. Of course until the larger transmission issues are address all it might do is insure that western grid problems become eastern grid problems and visa versa.

The use of federal emminent domain to condemn property for new transmission lines is an interesting feature. Those conservative ranchers and farmers are gonna love it
