charlevoix, someday—somebody's going to write a very good book about all this.

The years from late-95 (when SI started) through '98 were heady times, indeed. Previously, faxes and newsletters were the method of choice for touting stock scams. Although the recipients may have had doubts, the avenues for diligence and confirmation were cumbersome, if one even knew where to do the research. This great conduit, the internet stock board, provided two-way communication! Now, everybody would have access to all the info—or, simply get bombarded twice as fast, by twice as many scams.

As you've noted, the heated emotions expressed on threads are quite regrettable. They are, however, part'n'parcel of goes with the good side—that we can actually have intelligent dialogue about the market's mysteries, on those rare occasions where it slips in accidentally. I treasure those moments even more.

It's easy to take this stuff too seriously (of which I've certainly been guilty in the past). A great help has been to chant a phrase from one of the most famously successful and inspiring corporate executives in the world: "Sure is a pretty day." (Some days, multiple repetitions are necessary to further re-affirm the prettiness of the particular day in question)

>>>Just about had an ass full of the RB AZNT thread. You can just about feel and taste the hate. Very sad. Very sick. Matter-of-fact, RB itself is getting tiresome. Everyday, hundreds more flock there to become willing victims of the JPumps' of the world. Or the Pugs's of the world, if you so choose. And it seems that many of them can't get fleeced enough.<<<
