My suggestion is that you not expect suggestions for stock picks from this thread. The purpose of this thread is to discuss which stocks fit the definition of a gorilla. Some of us want to buy possibly future gorillas; others only want to buy proven gorillas. Others also like dominant companies which still have competition, called kings. In any case if you insist on a thorough understanding before you buy then you will benefit much more than if you simply ask people for their picks. If you don't know the reasons why a stock is good then you will likely panic and dump it, sooner or later. I think you will find the discussions interesting and why not read the Gorilla Game book and contribute to the discussions? In a word, welcome!

vc21,

I am sure you'll get many suggestions, and also that after
five years you might wish you had [not] listened to some...

BUT, I have a question. Why do you need one more stock in
your portfolio ? To be more specific, what do you perceive
to be lacking in your portfolio that makes you want to add
one more name ? What are the different dimensions that you
consider ? How did you narrow it down to MSFT/AOL/EBAY --
was it merely a desire to add another great stock or was it
more like balancing out some other risk ?

I realize that's a lot of questions you weren't looking
for. But then you run an interesting portfolio.

Thanks & Regards
