Taxi driver tortures passengers by singing

Belle Glade Fl- (CNN) A Belle Glade taxi driver named GZ has fitted a karaoke machine in the back seat of his cab.

GZ says the idea started off as a joke, but now his customers can't get enough of it and are unwilling to leave the cab at the end of their fare.

Passengers are told to choose from more than 200 songs. The words appear on a mini television screen.

GZ, 88, said: "It doesn't put me off driving because, let's face it, they'd probably be singing anyway after I sing them a few songs. There's been some really good ones who can really sing... but the awful ones are usually the best. Most of my passengers really love my singing, they scream every time I begin singing another song. They love me."

One passenger, Anita Life, told this reporter, "It's certainly the worst cab I've ever been in, we were trapped in there for hours until the driver finally let us out. The more I screamed, the more he would sing, it was terrible."

Another passenger, Anita Mann, said "The more we screamed, the more GZ would sing, it was horrible, I thought my ears were beginning to bleed from the sour sound of GZ's sickening voice. It's a horrible way to get where you're going or finish off the night on the way home."
