But Palm is one of American Spirit's buy rec's. Why not buy it, trash stocks are all heading higher again especially since "they'll do better in the future". I'll think I'll pass and wait to short it. Is Agilent one of his picks as well? Piss poor earnings report, should be good for at least a double.

Mark, I remember he listed HWP; that was a good one.
I don't know if I subconsiously avoided it because he was recommending it.<g> Just kidding A.S.

In addition, he started recommending stocks near the bottom on the Naz as well. Most people don't get their picks right all the time....I did not really agree with his choice of stocks but agreed with the direction of the market.
Think he should not have actually recommended individual stocks on this thread and stuck to direction; then there would be no reason for criticism.

Agilent is being upgraded by a big brokerage today.<g>
They may have a point; this company's earnings are just so unpredictable..they can miss by a mile and then next quarter beat by a mile.
You might get your chance to short...don't believe it will be that weak.
However, I am looking to buy it, if it gets hammered today just because of their unpredictability....and it seems some of the brokers know that now as well.<g>
That explains the upgrade.
A case of "no visibility" being really no visibility. Most other times it means lower numbers for the next quarter. For company company, it may be really visibility.

BTW--disclaimer..have not seen the earnings report on Agilent yet...don't really think I have to on this one.<g>

FAKED PALM DOWNGRADE simply an accounting INVENTORY WRITE DOWN trick, this inventory will sell and then profit earnings will likewise be magnified. See: www2.marketwatch.com{86DD4937-0A0A-4BD5-A084-9825F8901C6D}&symb=XTND&sid=102123

$300 Million write down, once sold, this will be a positive $300 Million DIRECTLY TO NET EARNINGS. This is quite a nice Buying opportunity for PALM just from its lows today already, I am a Buyer and Holder all the way up.
I am,
Truly your$,
