Stocks Seen Opening Lower on Earns Worries

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks were poised to open flat or slightly lower on Friday after disappointing earnings reports from Dell Computer Corp. (DELL.O and Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A - news), among others, raised worries about corporate profit growth later in the year.

``The Dell and Agilent news isn't that good,'' said Bob Basel, co-head of listed stock trading at Salomon Smith Barney Inc. ``It reaffirms people are still worried about the second half.''

TYC - the other company mentioned in that article, bears watching too. Also, INTU, Intuit, received a downgrade, knocking it back into KT's sex-slave trading range. larry
