John, you're missing the big picture here because you are so glued to numbers. It's a common failing of accountants. Believe me, it took years before I could shake the myopeia ingrained in me by my accounting professors.

Anyway, all increases of bandwidth perpetuate the cycle of carriers having to upgrade to new, faster routing and switching equipment. It's like the old upgrade cycle that still lives today in the PC industry. Video and wireless is driving more traffic onto the net, which will mean all carriers will have to grow their capacity to match the increased demand, which means that all networking vendors that can maintain market share will grow in direct proportion to the growth of their markets. Thus Cisco benefits the most in the markets it competes in, because they are top dog in almost every segment they compete in.

So the bottomline is that you can't look at just the equipment purchased by the Hollywood companies. You have to look at the multiplier effect of the mass distribution of videos and the way it will change the entire industry from Hollywood and the large Cable TV companies all the way down to Blockbuster and the local video rental stores. Big picture, John. Stay focused on that if you want to profit long term.
