Gordon,

I don't see where you got 2.55 per gallon. The adjusted price chart on the link shows more like 1.55/gallon.

We are being charged 2.05 for regular right now.

Pat

Speaking of Teacher and Energy.
Teachers Unions vs. Energy Companies
newsmax.com

Here’s an interesting little twist. The Democrats are bent
out of shape because they say that all of those energy
company donations to the Republicans have influenced
Republican energy policy – to the detriment of the
consumer. Well, first of all, detriment to the consumer
has not been proven. But - think about this. National
Education Association – a teachers union – sends almost
ALL of its political money to Democrats – and the
Democrats repay it with policies that benefit the union
to the detriment of the education consumers – our
children.

So - let’s see if we have this right. Energy companies
donate money to Republicans. Republicans generate
official policy favorable to energy companies and
(according to the Democrats) unfavorable to oil
consumers. That’s bad.

Teachers unions donate money to Democrats.
Democrats generate official policy favorable to teachers
unions and unfavorable to education consumers. This is
good.

Yeah, I think that makes sense.
..............................there's more good stuff.
