Les> The Japanese government is looking into trying to liberalize immigration in order to get cheaper labor Trust me that is all lip service it won't happen. Immigration is a non starter, rent a worker is much preferred, the problem is many younger Japanese are afraid of getting dirty so most of the so called "dirty work" goes to imported temps. Btw Japanese are still forbidden from having other than Japanese passport which is a real hot issue in Japan for the many Japanese who live overseas long term. But even that seems to be a dead-end issue regards Don
