Ken:

I began using 2000 a couple of months ago. What an improvement! Crashes, weird messages, hiccups of every stripe GONE. I couldn't be happier.

That said, I didn't upgrade, I put 2000 on a new machine. 933 Pentium III, 512 meg ram etc. That's up from the celeron 333 with 640 ram I was running 98 on. Still, I think the problem was 98, not the machine.

I switched from Win98 to Win 2000 a few weeks ago. A world of difference. I can have as many programs running as I want (512 MB RAM). It can be a little bit of a pain to install. It's probably best to do a clean install on a new hd or new partition on your existing drive. Getting all the hardware to work may be a little bit of work. It was definitely worth it for me. I was rebooting a few times a day before (also running other resource hogging non-trading apps) and now I can go a week or more without rebooting.
