Jim, re "PS Mike, I haven't mentioned a certain book for a long time, but I am working on another one about derivatives
and I have an even better kickback deal on that one. However if YOU would mention either one I'd would be rich."
I did better than that--ordered 'Devil Take the Hindmost' from Amazon the other day so UPS ought to be delivering a truckload of gloom and doom any minute now.
Nothing helps my schizophrenia though. On the one hand, I'm down in the dumps about the economic outlook. On the other, I think Qualcomm is about to pull off the upset of the century as the final end game plays out. What's it worth to 'own' the airwaves for wireless voice and data communication? Buy/sell; fear/greed--what's a schizo to do? regards, mike

Four hours of sleep later, Yogurt and ice coffee, along with my newly working BIG BEAUTIFULLY FAST AND POWERFUL BUG-FREE GAME RIG GTW PC, absorbing news of events from around the simultaneously beautiful and ugly world.

<< beautiful Friday afternoon in Northern CA>>

The sky is overcast today in Hong Kong, the water and trees appear more beautifully colored than usual. Cicadas are chirping more pleasing than normal. The Irish music is sounding more powerful than ever. Yes, it will be a gorgeous day.

I am looking forward to a spot of banking at the great hall of the space ship looking banking headquarters of Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, then lunch with past client, followed by a quick nap back here at the abode, on the couch, facing the ocean, soothed by the aroma of teak, cooled by the gentle air of Mitsubishi, cuddled in my favorite nap blanket, with dream accompanied by … oh, what will it be? Yes, I think Music from the Tea Lands (Putumayo label).

<<reassurance of a mere 16.1% increase in the trade deficit>>

Not to worry, as it keeps inflation down:]

<<peace in the Mideast>>

Again, do not worry, it will arrive, after it gets much worse.

<<ambassadors over there?>>

Do not fuss. The new US envoy is also in place for Tibet, without much to do, awaiting China to designate a new Envoy to Alaska:}

<<What's to worry, you silly boy with your metals>>

I worry about Pezz not repenting in time on this small cap momo train where future earnings can be projected to be anything anybody wants, understood by all, and able to awaken a global, cross culture, cross language, cross political system, cross economic class, cross religion dream of a golden bubble.

At least for today, we can do a collective group hug, followed by numerous pelvic thrust victory salute, accompanied by grunts of ooh ooh, ah ah, waluck waluck, thumpaty thumpty.

<<Go play a video game>>

Buddy with the Utah ranch and PLDT share will visit tomorrow, and yes, the game rig is ready!

Even better, wife has matters to attend to and places to go tomorrow. Oh yeah, the game rig is ready. I worry about my future kid if a boy, for he will have to have his father’s luck to make it in this world. I worry more if a girl, for I know the evil that exist in the hearts of other fathers-want-to-be. Worries, worries. But, first, the big game rig.

<<Pezz is gone fishing but he says everything is gonna be alright.>>

He will be. But maybe slightly surprised, and a bit scared, hopefully repent and join the side of light, hope, responsible, and right, in time.

<<Very good thing it is that Friday comes when it does. We all need a rest after five days of this.>>

So excellent! So beautiful! So very hopeful! So many more weeks to 2001! And so deserving for the very few!

Chugs, Jay
