Dear Sean007,

I cannot speak to Sirius's condition--XM Satellite Radio (XMSR) is the one I have been following. This company is ready to start broadcasting this summer. Its broadcasts will be ahead of having receivers set up in autos (a big problem) (see yesterday's article in section B of the WSJ). Right now GM is only planning to put it in Cadillac's because that is the only car that has enough on board power right now, and the engineers have to gear up the other models. Consumers will be able to go out and buy receivers for their home--not sure about their cars yet.

The April issue of "Worth" magazine pointed out that analysts predict that by 2009 out of the 200 million
vehicles on the road in the US 22 percent will be subscribers to satellite radio which will be worth 5 billion a year in revenue. Two and half billion a piece if the companies divide the market. The same article points out that Xm has deals with Clear Channel, Direct TV, GM, and American Honda Motor.

With that corporate backing XM has got staying power and a reasonable chance to develop the market. I also think it has a leg up on Sirius by being the first to broadcast and also in its pricing which is 3 bucks a month cheaper ($9.95).

Sure it has to share the revenue with its partners , but inreturn it is unlikely it will run out of cash (the partners want their investment money back). Is it a sure fire thing----no. But at some price a worthy speculation---yes. For those who bought in April we've already made bewteen 100 to 200 percent. Think the stock price growth will be much slower from here and could be some profit taking on the stock in the near term. I would put a buying opportunity between 10-12.

So what I'm saying is that this is not a dead horse, but a reasonable speculation--and as long as an investor goes in with their eyes open on it--what's the harm?

Bill
