I have long felt that the real sign of the bull for gold would be when POG rallied sharply on poor to mediocre COT numbers. That would signal real investor buying as opposed to spec fund short covering. That seems to be where we are now.

John, as per George Slezaks site the commercial COT's are net short -13915 gold contracts as of 5/15/01, vs last weeks position of 17247 net long.

Small speculators are now at a 1 year record net long position of 12384 contracts

yep.. i sold all my near month goldshare calls. holding some jan 02s and 03s and stock, but they're getting ready to correct imo

maybe they don't and something really whacko breaks loose, but i'll be there for it, if that's the case....
