Clinton Hit by Egg in Poland

Disgraced ex-president Bill Clinton was struck by a protester's raw egg today during a stop in Warsaw, Poland.

A small barrage of eggs was hurled in Clinton's direction, with Reuters reporting that "at least one" hit the former Commander in Chief as he emerged from an antiques store. Clinton removed his suit jacket and continued walking, shaking hands with less hostile Poles in the city's capital district.

A 19-year-old assailant was wrestled to the ground by Secret Service agents and Polish police. A Warsaw police spokesman said he is now in their custody.

After his egging, the ex-president was scheduled to address a gathering of business people at a downtown hotel, where "several dozen" protesters were already picketing. It's not known whether they also plan to pelt Clinton with eggs or other food items.
