CITIZENS COMMUNICATIONS

18 May - Citizens Communications Co. (NYSE:CZN - news), a Stamford, Connecticut-based telecommunications service provider, sold $1.75 billion of five- and 10-year notes, yielding a respective 3.75 and 3.95 percentage points more than Treasuries. The sale was increased from an original $1 billion.

In secondary trading, spreads on the notes tightened to a respective 3.30 and 3.60 percentage points more than Treasuries, traders said.

``It was very oversubscribed,'' said a trader. ``For a mid-triple-B, it was very cheap.''

Citizens Communications' debt is rated ``Baa2'' by Moody's Investors Service and ``BBB'' by Standard & Poor's.
