Drew - what I have not heard from DELL management is the exit strategy - why is the price war a good idea? They list the tactical issues - we can make money even at these prices, we are picking up market share, we are driving profit out of our competitors' business. But what's the long term benefit to DELL, and how do they harvest the opportunity? How does market share turn into profit? How do they eventually improve margins or earnings? That part of the analysis seems to be missing, and as an investor, that's the part I care about.
