I would like to believe this, but some companies put up such huge barriers to entry that this doesn't apply. Or at least it takes a long time for the best company to win. Usually by the monopoly imploding on itself. One huge example is Microsoft. And I don't see them imploding anytime soon. Although the government believes they need to do something about it.
