Hi Charles; actually, we have seen real value.

Back in '93/94 when CSCO was on the edge of a billion in revenues there was a lot of debate about the future prospects of the business. I remember playing with the Internet and thinking "this is going to be big". I remember my wetfingerometer "15% of 15% of 15% of what" analysis, applied to the Internet. I was heavy into tech already, working in the sector and well optioned... I remember the arguments with people who thought that missing the second 5x meant it was all over.

Yes, I have seen "real value", and have been on the other side of the debate about CSCO and some of its bretheren and their true value.

As for the future, you can still see real value today. Only it shows up in those "dull, boring, old-economy" stocks.

Go figure.

We will see "real value" again. Each equity. In our lifetime. Hopefully not all at once. That's what AG is desperately trying to avoid right now.

IMHO.

John.
