xcl.to - ho ho ho, wasn't that nice eh ... i haven't sold a share ... completely absurd that it got sold down the way it did recently ... it's not alone in that of course, but still ... it could take a rest around this level, or not, sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't [check the chart back about three years] ... one time i cleaned out the .25s, took 34k of them, then wham bam thank you ma'am the thing was bid .37 and printed .44 soon after ... it's been a wonderful range trader, and while i do trade it i take the gains in house-money paper, not loonies ... not going to reduce acb to zero or even close to zero this time around, in this PoG climate, maybe sell a third of the .12s in the high .30s or .40s, something like that ... i never had much doubt that SK would get his financing by the end of June, and i have close to no doubt on it now.
ite.to - well it's back there in the memory banks somewhere -g- ... actually i was thinking of reducing acb on ite with another little buy, got it down to a hair under .26 now ... way out of favour, and not one to hold your breath on for sure, but trading around cash and still with considerable story potential ... i can hardly wait for them to stake themselves up a nice mineral claim, lol
s.to - used to follow it, not lately though ... pros and cons to it, not everybody's a Delaney fan ... they got Luscar i see ... run up strong two days now, but still worth watching, thanks ... i still hold nominal shares in one account but the acb on them is about seven 1996 loonies, lol [abortive effort at trading, thought i held x shares and sold x, turned out there were x+y] ... the whole convertible debenture effect thing really came into play there, but that's over now i believe
qbx.v - pretty straight-forward there ... the ~1.15 level is historic s/r and currently what, around something like sixty per cent of NAV ... give it a story [and they will] and it goes further, while their stories tend to increase the NAV at the same time ... financials coming before month-end i hear, that should bring in a little attention ... not many shares to chew through to break the loonie level imho
gtt.v - neither of the people you mention have anything to do with anything meaningful, they are stockhouse personalities, while gtt is a Bob Mackin production ... no question that the Chief posted some extraordinarily hypey stuff on gtt nine months ago [i sure wouldn't want the dime per ad/hit figure on my record, for instance], no question that TK is unlikely to get voted in as saint this coming week, etc etc ... but none of it means anything, the whole radio deal is about the competence and judgment of Bob Mackin imho, and while i won't get carried away with the thing, i am more likely to add shares than sell any at this level ... it's a speculation, no doubt about it ... and whacked hard by that filthy lying sleazeball spamming into his sell orders a couple of months ago, for sure, but there won't be a lasting effect to that if BM can bring in revenue ... imho .... that thread you're talking about is a good example of stockhouse disfunctionality, there's just nothing there of value when you net it all up [and i include my own input -g- ... i mean, why bother in such an environment] [it always comes as a surprise to me to see a SH thread with some level of intelligence, and there are some, quite a few if you check around] ... this play may perhaps be more suited to those in or near the Big Smoke, who can make personal contact with principals, check it out direct.
nbl.v - bid up strong yesterday, nice going ... i wish you luck with it, doesn't appeal to me though, imho Kaiser's right, 'tough call' ... and there's so much else around with the PoG making the signs ... imho ... lots of people making junior gold shortlists for Tuesday morning, i betcha, and i'll be one of them
cpt.v - three of us this morning talking about what TC has accomplished over the last year, it's pretty impressive ... question comes up - Will cash burn overtake the kitty before Mr Market recognises potential here? ... i took the No side on that one, i think he's 1. too canny to let that happen, i.e. he will not spend until he knows he's got the funds, and 2. not without friends and allies, especially after motivating so many as he has ..... this one's gotten tarred unfairly with the 'dot.bomb' brush imho .... there is money to be made in this business, and the fact gets recognised in other cases, check out the Instinet IPO yesterday - ca.finance.yahoo.com |
