Carl,

The meaning of this is that DDR is as cheap as PC133 at Crucial. That is not the same as saying that DDR is as cheap as PC133. In fact, I've been charting cheapest prices for 2 months from PriceWatch, and my data show that DDR is still around twice the price of SDRAM.

Just as Samsung is RDRAM, Micron/Crucial is DDR. Do you think Micron is explaining to any OEM customers they have that "yes, we know we're charging the same price for DDR and SDRAM in the retail channel, but we're going to charge you more for DDR than SDRAM". Not happening. You're model doesn't take into effect the overall volume of the producers -- each producer's price is given the same weight whether they make 1 DDR chip or 1,000,000,000. An interesting exercise, but not real world. Just as with your mobo list.
