Maybe. Hype will always be around, but I think it important to try to see through it if you are considering things from a long-term perspective. If you're looking at things from a short-term perspective, then quite the opposite may be true, provided one understands what is behind the hype, and what it is designed to accomplish. In any event, in the coming years the good ones---i.e., the ones with technologies that will inescapably be in accelerating demand, and which they control---will be driven by far more powerful forces than "news." But as always, JMVHO...... WS
