If I charted Crucial prices for DDR vs Crucial prices for SDRAM, I'd be charting Micron's efforts to bring DDR into the mainstream instead of the actuality of DDR being brought into the mainstream.

You're finally getting it. Go to www.crucial.com and it's right there on the first page: "256MB PC2100 DDR-SDRAM DIMM..........Only $79.19" and "256MB PC133 SDRAM DIMM....................Only $79.19". Micron's going to do everything they can to push DDR, and they are the market maker right now. So you might as well chart just their price.

I'm not in a position to chart the prices with volume added in, nor do I think that I would want to.

Your "statistic" for DDR prices is the equivalent of a teacher saying that the class average on a test was a 'C' when 19 students got an 'A' and 1 student got an 'F'. Not very useful. If you don't understand why not, I'm sure multico or I can point you to some good books on statistics. <G>
