TEXN Announces That Late Filing Trading Symbol ``TEXNE'' Will be Removed Effective Wednesday, May 30, 2001

FORT WORTH, Texas, May 29, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- 21st Century Technologies
Inc. (OTC BB: TEXNE) today announced that the late filing symbol "E" will be
removed effective Wednesday, May 30, 2001.

The late filing symbol was affixed by NASD as the result of the company's late
filing of its most recent Form 10Q-SB. The removal of the late filing symbol was
confirmed with NASDAQ, and this information is posted on various regulatory Web
sites.

Ken Wilson, chairman, stated: "The late filing with the SEC will never happen
again. It was due to the extra time it took for us to reconstruct records from
our Baton Rouge, La. office. These records were missing when we took over the
office from our former director and president of Trident Technologies Inc. All
of our accounting is centralized at our headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, and
everyone put in overtime to get the job done. Our telephone is ringing off the
hook from shareholders who want to know how this happened and to let us know how
disappointed they are in management. As chairman I accept the blame. We reacted
as quickly as we could to the missing records situation in Baton Rouge, La. and
reconstructed everything required for the recent Form 10Q-SB. Unfortunately, we
were one day late. This will never happen again. We have a great company and
future ahead of us. I trust that this late filing will be viewed in context of
the special circumstances surrounding the Baton Rouge, La. situation."
