Pat,

Before WWII, Los Alamos was one of the most famous boarding schools in the country. Wealthy parents would send their sickly boys to Los Alamos (7,500 ft. elevation), where they slept in open air bunks and wore shorts all winter in knee deep snow.

The school was famous for turning potential basket cases into CEO's of major corporations.

This is interesting to me. I like the house wonderfully cool. So beginning about late spring, the AC is always on (my electric bills are just dang astronomical!) right through to early autumn. During late autumn to winter we hardly use the heater unless it is dang cold outside. I haven't had a cold in many years. In fact, I can't remember when I was last sick. Most notably, my children also have been rarely sick, not so much as a sniffle.
