Dear Scumbria: Well, I cant comment on that cause my memory seems not to serve me as well as yours, I do remember a time when there was NO GAS at all and I actually once filled my car with the gas from my lawn mower!! I remember getting in line HOURS before the station opened AND THE DAMN THING NEVER OPENED. Frankly, I would have taken oil from the devil himself in those days. But looking out long term, I personally prefer to be energy self sufficient if possible in this great country. JDN
