Pearly -

There is always manna tomorrow?
But there is never manna for today -g-

From my Oxford paperback dictionary
manna(1) (in the Bible) a substance miraculously supplied as food to the Israelites in the wilderness after the exodus from Egypt.(2) something unexpected and delightful.

Thanks. It fits but does not have the ring of recognition, nor, I think, enough Englishness. The word for the blank I had in mind, but didn't want to suggest, was porridge (sp?). Also, I think that more than 2 simple lines is needed.

Thanks, Don
