Thanks for your support. I too think Intel's documentation makes all of
this quite clear. I am still amazed how so many people could be in denial
about it. Intel's words are chosen carefully for legal reasons. If a
product is not going to perform as advertized, Intel better have lots of
publicly available documentation exonerating them - but of course they dont
have to talk about it or tell anyone that the documents exist, or clarify
what applications fail at what clock speeds. I'm glad that it has become an
issue. Perhaps in a couple months we will all know more.
