When CA de-regulated they were certainly not planning for the worst possible scenarios but instead capped prices to consumers pretending that there was a surplus of energy in the foreseeable future. Once again this reminds me of LTCM and the Thai baht and Russia reneging on their debt. Murphy's Law is still in force. Now we are seeing CA Government go from Pollyanna to Chicken Little in a heartbeat. I hope they are all sleeping poorly and have indigestion.

It is pretty funny to see Gov. Flashlight saying CA is "at war" with the generators when a year ago he was in complete denial of any possible problems and couldn't be bothered about utility companies requests to sign long term contracts for power deliveries.
