yea, you also forgot that Bluetooth and 802.11 interfere with each other in the 2.4 GHz space. And that the HDR will cover teh exact same space, so perhaps the operator in major metro areas does not need to put up this infra at all to get coverage, but rather just have a web site that the user can get onto using hte HDR.

I did not say that it was the Qualcomm killer, I said that it will eat into Qualcomm's potential in a large way..

Just like people thought that everyone would need.. Use anywhere Cell Phones.. (aka Globalstar and Iridium).. But, the localized cellular operations covered enough of the "high traffic/high density" hot spots. To make the LEO "Cover Anywhere business" a lower use item than originally conceived..

I am not trying to bash QCOM or CDMA.. I just note that the potential for the products and services and royalties has diminished greatly in the last 3 years!! IMO..
