Re PDA's ... I think there are many who disagree with you and find the Palms extremely useful. There are many time savers which are very productive. For instance, the Palms hotsync into the desktop so calendars, projects etc that are updated during the day can then upload to a LAN database - much more efficient than everyone in the department constantly retyping from their notes and its pretty much instantaneous!. At night e-mail can be downloaded, then uploaded to the home desktop. Offsite access to secure databases is often a pain and this is just an easy way round it and is in many ways more accomodating. Sure to many people they are just gadgets because they buy them as address books cause everyone else has them and it looks cooler than pulling out a Filofax... but I seriously doubt the PDA is ever going away. JMHO ... fwiw
