morbere, I think StormRider maybe refering to something that CNBC mentioned in passing. The $99 price is for the VII wireless model after a $100 rebate by Palm - but you have to sign up for their service so there's a catch. If you are really interested in what they have to offer my advice would be to check out their website ....

Unlike others, I (and more importantly, my wife) likes their products ... as do many of the people with whom she works. They slashed their guidance because they have slashed their prices to reduce an inventory glut before their new model ships in the fall. The market cap now is below 3billion ... and they are the defacto standard for PDA's with 20% of their revenue coming from the O/s they own. This is used by Handspring & RIMM (Blackberry) and by the players who will be the leaders in the the 3G devices like Nokia... who also use it for their current devices. Steve Jobs was looking to buy them once upon a time ... maybe he'll start looking again...who knows. I bought a small position Friday once I'd checked a few things out (as a speculative play). It may go lower ... but Friday looked pretty climactic and I've seen the same thing with LU, MOT & CSCO .... so we'll see. Heck I'm even thinking of holding a few hundred share long term as at $5 its no bigger loss than a bad trade even if they go belly-up. But I'm prattling on .... and apologise ....

Regards

Stephen
