Jungle Investor, I don't think we're in disagreement, but I sometimes wonder at gold investors who take it personally when anyone expresses doubt about the gold story or, in my case, my own ability to comprehend/believe in all the conspiracy elements that sometimes seem required. I have no problem with people talking up/talking down gold, and I have no real view on it. As I noted to Quehubo in an email, I'm not saying your sister isn't pretty, or that she'll never make it as a supermodel, or that she'll never get married, I'm just saying I'm not interested. That's entirely different from saying that gold is a lame/stupid/go nowhere investment. Hence the baseball analogy. Baseball's a good way to make a fortune if you're A-Rod, it's pretty lousy if you're only Michael Jordan and you can't hit a curve. Kb
