Carl,

Hi Dave B; For a guy who's so intimately connected in with the valley, you sure are clueless about this technology.

I'd love to stay and trade insults with you, but we're heading up to SF for a two day vacation tomorrow, so I'll have to pass.

I've certainly left you enough clues about me on the thread, so here's some homework questions for you while I'm gone (maybe Scumbria can help you with his super-dee-duper search engine):

* Who originally told me about Rambus and what did he do for a living?
* When did I stop being a LTBHer of RMBS?
* When did I start trading RMBS?
* How did I do in the Feb 2000 run-up?
* How did I do in the June 2000 run-up?
* Have I lost money on short-term trades as well?

And two questions for extra credit:

* Which will occur first: a) you'll get a clue about the business side of all of this, or b) the end of the universe?
* How can someone have such a huge ego that is at the same time so fragile?

Answers to anything you haven't figured out by the time I get back will be provided, if you're interested (somehow I doubt you will be).

Have a good two days.

Dave

p.s. A year ago, mine was the voice prophesying doom in the wilderness.

Because that's where you live.

p. p.s. P.S. For some reason, I though you lived in the Seattle area, probably cause of the INAP connection.

Nope, we were just vacationing, visiting some old friends and seeing the Great Pacific Northwest and Great Canadian Southwest.

An additional extra credit question:

* What benefit does INAP provide to their customers (and who are some of their major customers)?
