Carl:
they're going to end up without enough RDRAM to provide for those MBs.

Surely you jest. THe MM are not going to be able to make enough RDRAM at a profit.

what's your Jdaasoc-spin response to my observation that design engineers are still not even considering RDRAM for new designs

Most Pc CPU'S are evolutionary products. 8088, 286, 386, 486, Pentium, Pentium Pro, Pentium MMX, Pentium II, Pentium III, and now P4. However, PC system designs tend every few years to have some revolutionary advancements that Intel has fairly good control of since IBM bowed out with Microchannel bus.
If Intel takes a revolutionary step with PC design, the market usually follows unless it is a total bomb like Pentium Pro. I don't think that RDRAM is a bomb with 2GHz+CPU's, I think the concept of RMBS royalties is seeing some resistance.

RE Mymemorystore.
Web site is being redesigned and I can't get prices now. However, you can get fairly accurate price from Pricewatch by requesting Samsung DRAM.
