No, you did misunderstand me. The "exchange of populations" has already occurred in 1948/50, when close to a million Jews from Arab countries were evicted and most of their possessions confiscated, and when a similar number of Palestinians escaped the war raging within Israel as the Arab nations invaded the newly created state. That event cannot be turned back. Now you look at the current situation and decide to make the best out of it. The longer the Palestinian wait, the more Jewish Zealots will buy lands within the west bank and start new settlements which in ten years, will be difficult to remove. That is why I said that Arafat got the best deal he could get from Barak and should have accepted it. Any future deal will leave him with an ever reducing foot print for an independent Palestinian State.
