I read the online version, and I also read the print version (with the photos and extra stuff). Grove said many things. Did he say that the future of Intel depends on communication chips? Sure, in the general sense in which the future of all high tech involves communcations of various sorts.

Intel, interestingly enough, made many of Ovshinsky's device in the late 60s and early 70s. (As with Reticon's CCDs and Carver Mead's VLSI chips, a few years later.)
