I don't think there will be any clear cut winners in 802.11g. Just like in the case of 3G standard body, Alantro(TI) and Intersil will have to talk it through. Qcom like dominance in a standard is hard to come for so often. After all there's really no real dominant player in WLAN, not to the degree Qcom has in CDMA.

So your wish of TI pushes its way through will not come true after all.

Anyone know where zip code 80211 is ? Is it the location of where the 802.11 standard was invented ?

(Will there be some lame, new Aaron Spelling TV show about electrical engineers : Wireless Hills 80211 (?))
