Gottfried, we have got to find some way to keep BW from plagiarizing the best ideas from the AMAT thread. So they used IBM instead of AMAT because they like to play with $10,000 dollar bills instead of $5000 dollar bills. It seems that every period of time has got a money making scheme that runs parallel to it. Once it was buy and Hold, then it was the index thing (Why buy a stock when an index can't be beat) Then it was the new investment model called . com, and now its the covered call thing. I think that the nervous investors of the thread, Cary, and Jacob, who have stated that this silly rally considering the dismal outlook are probably correct. That being the case a better strategy for covered calls this month is in order. My plan includes writing slightly in the money covered calls one month out. Regards, Jerome
