Still, there's some merit to some of what was said, but it doesn't go far enough. Why not condemn the entire state of California under a federal act of eminent domain? Take the place over, eliminate the state income tax, outlaw the public employees unions, close most of the public facilities and eliminate 75% of the state employees. Then spec and allocate all necessary sites for refineries and power plants, and get them built and operating. After that, the state could be turned back over to the voters who screwed it up, with the provision that any and all ballot initiatives or laws designed to "protect the environment" will automatically be null and void upon passage.

This plan would be hugely successful, and could then be adapted to NY, MA, and several other "peoples' republics" in the US...

CErtain aspects of our economy are critical and energy access is one. I am not against anyone making a decent profit in a fair way. Right now we do not have an open marketplace. We have energy cartels that are using the OPEC business model to selectively target various states.

The truth will come out, but the conservatives will not believe it if it's not in their favor. They'll just blame the "liberal" press for changing the facts. Convenient...............isn't it?
